Seaman David Mcloud and his shipmates wait on the foc'sle for mooring lines as the amphibious transport dock ship USS Ponce is nosed into Pier 2 at Naval Station Norfolk by tug boats. Ponce is returning to its homeport for the final time after completing its last week at sea. After 40 years of service Ponce's crew is beginning the process that will result in the ship's decommissioning in 2012.
