Rhea Redmond, Combat Medics in the Medical Platoon, 1st Squadron, 4th U.S. Cavalry Regiment out of Fort Riley, Kan., discuss with Vincent “B.J.” Lawrence, the Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., the specifics of the battalion medical facility established at Świętoszów while the unit is on ground. As commander of the VFW, Lawrence personally visited the soldiers of the 1-4 Cavalry while mobilized in an effort to better understand the training environment and living conditions of the troops stationed overseas in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
