ŚWIĘTOSZÓW, Poland (Feb. 5, 2019) - Army Pfc. Cody Patrick, a Bradley Mechanic and Staff Sgt. Nicholas Rolison, a Mortarman, both with the 1st Squadron, 4th U.S. Cavalry Regiment, out of Fort Riley, Kan., train on the M240-B Machine Gun while Vincent “B.J.” Lawrence, the Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., observes. As commander of the VFW, Lawrence personally visited the soldiers of the 1-4 Cavalry while mobilized in an effort to better understand the training environment and living conditions of the troops stationed overseas in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
