ŚWIĘTOSZÓW, Poland (Feb. 6, 2019) - Vincent “B.J.” Lawrence, the Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., accompanies the crew of an M2 Bradley fighting vehicle belonging to the 1st Squadron, 4th U.S. Cavalry Regiment out of Fort Riley, Kan., while sitting in the gunner’s seat of the Bradley, on a live-fire exercise at a firing range near Świętoszów. As commander of the VFW, Lawrence personally visited the soldiers of the 1-4 Cavalry while mobilized in an effort to better understand the training environment and living conditions of the troops stationed overseas in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
