ŚWIĘTOSZÓW, Poland (Feb. 5, 2019) - Vincent “B.J.” Lawrence, the Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., talks with Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Kohunsky of the 1st Squadron, 4th U.S. Cavalry Regiment out of Fort Riley, Kan., and Pfc. Christian Castillo, a Cavalry Scout in the 1-4 Cavalry, about the living conditions of the soldiers housed in the repurposed barracks in Świętoszów. As commander of the VFW, Lawrence personally visited the soldiers of the 1-4 Cavalry while mobilized in an effort to better understand the training environment and living conditions of the troops stationed overseas in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
