VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 8, 2019) Culinary Specialist 1st Class Brandon Francis, from Beaufort, South Carolina, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) supply department, uses a deep fryer to cook chicken wings for a dish in the notional restaurant his team created during training at Stratford University. Ford Sailors participated in Chef Jacoby Ponder's first Chefpreneur Academy at Stratford University, where they learned skills in cooking, marketing and creating a business.
