JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 9, 2019) – Amber Napoles, a laboratory technician at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, loads a patient sample into a chemistry analyzer. Napoles, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, says, “I grew up around military and have always had a respect for military medicine. I thought it would be nice to one day work at the naval hospital. So after I graduated from lab school through the Army, I made it my mission to get here. I enjoy having the opportunity to work alongside a lot of hardworking and intelligent individuals, while making a difference in patients’ lives.” Public Service Recognition Week is celebrated May 5-11, and honors the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county, and local government employees.
