Staff Sgt. Ryne Chambers rigs a weapons case for an airborne operation during the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division's Jumpmaster of the Year Competition, March 28. The winners of the battalion-level competitions contended for the brigade title. Each participant was tested on their performance of jumpmaster duties, including rigging of equipment, practical work inside the aircraft, giving a sustained airborne training brief and personnel inspections. Chambers is a Howitzer section chief assigned to B Battery, 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. He is a native of Charleston, S.C.
