The winners of the battalion-level competitions contended for the Brigade title. Each participant was tested on jumpmaster duties, including rigging of equipment, practical work inside the aircraft, giving a sustained airborne training brief and personnel inspections. Sessoms will advance to the Division-level competition in April. He is the assistant operations non-commissioned officer for 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, and a native of Belleville, Mich.
