Sgt. David Jenkins inspects a Paratrooper's universal static line during the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division's Jumpmaster of the Year Competition, March 29. The winners of the battalion-level competitions contended for the brigade title. Each participant was tested on their performance of jumpmaster duties, including rigging of equipment, practical work inside the aircraft, giving a sustained airborne training brief and personnel inspections. Jenkins is a light wheel vehicle mechanic assigned to B Company, 407th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. He is a native of Kansas City, Mo.
