Larry Harlan, a human resources NCO with Nevada Army National Guard Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 17th Special Troops Battalion, during their combatives bout in the 2012 Region VII Best Warrior Competition at Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif., April 25. The combatives event challenged competitors to submit their opponent within six minutes using an authorized hold, or win by majority of points gained throughout the match using various moves.
