A pair of Marines from the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (special operations capable) (13th MEU(SOC)) sit atop their amphibious assault vehicle as crews ready the AAVs to "swim" out to the USS Rushmore, anchored off the coast of Kuwait, Sept. 26. The 13th MEU(SOC) is returning home to Camp Pendleton, Calif., after its deployment to Al Anbar province, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
