An amphibious assault vehicle from the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (special operations capable) (13th MEU(SOC)) "swims" out the to USS Rushmore, anchored off the coast of Kuwait, Sept. 26. The personnel and AAVs of the 13th MEU(SOC) are returning home to Camp Pendleton, Calif., after deploying to Al Anbar province, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
