INDIAN OCEAN (Dec. 21, 2020) – U.S. Navy Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Mechanical) 2nd Class Matthew Allen, a deck engineer assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5, troubleshoots the digital electronic sequencing unit on Landing Craft, Air Cushion 52 aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are conducting operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
