INDIAN OCEAN (Dec. 24, 2020) – U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Scott Kibler directs a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 164 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, on the flight deck of amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th MEU are conducting operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of area of responsibility.
