INDIAN OCEAN (Jan. 15, 2020) – U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Judah Cockrum, an embarkation specialist, directs Lance Cpl. Nicholas Rodriguez, a rifleman, both assigned to Combat Cargo of the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), to maneuver a forklift aboard the ship. The San Diego, with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are conducting operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
