Blaine Ottinger served as a communications officer with the Idaho Army National Guard until recently relocating to Iowa and transferring to the Iowa Army National Guard. Originally from Idaho. Growing up in the Boise area he began playing Lacrosse in High School, the at Boise State University and continues today in a men’s adult league. Ottinger is a defenseman. A team is comprised of 10 players; 1 goalie, 3 defensemen, 3 mid-fielders and 3 attackmen. Each team must keep at least 4 players, including goalie, in its defensive half of the field and 3 players in its offensive zone. The 3 mid-fielders are free to roam entire field. The game has four quarters, plus a halftime.
Idaho Army National Guard soldiers pursue a variety of off-duty recreational interests. In the Gem State, in and around the Boise region, Idaho soldiers take advantage of hunting, fishing, hiking and a wide range of community activities.
