As a defenseman, Blaine Ottinger (in blue and red helmet) is allowed to use a longer stick than most players. Players can hit an opponents stick or arms in an attempt to gain possession of the ball.
Blaine Ottinger served as a communications officer with the Idaho Army National Guard until recently relocating to Iowa and transferring to the Iowa Army National Guard. Originally from Idaho. Growing up in the Boise area he began playing Lacrosse in High School, the at Boise State University and continues today in a men’s adult league.
Idaho Army National Guard soldiers pursue a variety of off-duty recreational interests. In the Gem State, in and around the Boise region, Idaho soldiers take advantage of hunting, fishing, hiking and a wide range of community activities.
