The ramp spotter for the USNS Bobo overlooks the approaching Roll-on/Roll-off Discharge Facility, a floating platform powered by the Improved Navy Lighterage System. The Sailors of Naval Beach Group 2 constructed the INLS at sea during the testing and evaluation portion of West African Training Cruise 2008, where for the first part the system will be used at sea, in open waters. The RRFD will be used to transfer Marine Corps vehicles and Marines between naval platforms in order to conduct humanitarian assistance missions in Monrovia, Liberia.
