The roll-on/roll-off discharge facility floats attached to the USNS 2nd Lt. John P. Bobo, a maritime prepositioning ship. The RRFD are part of the Navy's new Improved Navy Lighterage System, and was used to transfer Marines, vehicles and equipment between naval platforms during West African Training Cruise 2008.
