    U.S. Marine Corps Lt. While not directly part of the exercise, U.S. Marines met with Brazilian counterparts to exchange best practices and experiences for a variety of aviation functions to include air defense, air traffic control, and casualty evacuation, in order to build partnership and increase interoperability and communication between militaries. Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 provides Aviation Ground Support (AGS) to both rotary and fixed wing aircraft Expeditionary Airfields in support of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing and II Marine Expeditionary Force.
