(CAMDEN, NJ) – Staff Sgt Jared Gross, a Soldier with the 249th Engineer Battalion goes over details of the Cooper Medical Center’s electrical generation plan with the hospital’s Facilities Director Edward Murray, Jr. The battalion is performing 300 assessments, including Cooper Medical Center, as part as part of a regional training exercise. These assessments help determine requirements and expedite generator installations at critical lifesaving and life sustaining locations like hospitals, shelters, or water distribution sites, which enable short-term power restoration for communities while the more permanent power sources are being restored during a national disaster response.
