U.S. Air Force Capt. Turner Macphee, 354th Fighter Wing physical therapist, and 355th Fighter Squadron Parker Spriggs, flight doctor, and pediatrician, flew with the 168th Wing on board a 168 WG KC-135 Stratotanker during a Red Flag aerial refueling mission on June 13, 2024. Macphee flew to increase her skills in helping flight crews as a physical therapist, and Spriggs flew to increase his required aeromedicine flight hours while participating in Red Flag Alaska, 24-2. The KC-135 tanker aircrew hosted the passengers on board the air refueling mission to provide an experience to the flight doc and physical therapist unlike anything else in their military careers and to educate them on aerial refueling missions.
