U.S. Air National Guard Staff Sgt. Devin Farnsworth, 168th Wing KC-135 boom operator, flies on board a KC-135 Stratotanker for an aerial refueling mission and an incentive flight for the 25th and 51st Fighter Squadron Maintenance Group Airmen during Red Flag Alaska 24-2, June 13, 2024. Farnsworth ensured the maintenance Airmen were able to witness aircraft refueling from the back of the KC-135 Stratotanker, a sight that deepened their understanding of the mission, fostering a stronger sense of camaraderie, allowing them to see firsthand their dedication and hard work in the air in action. While refueling aircraft, Farnsworth is in charge of thousands of pounds of fuel that will be supplied to aircraft in-flight. The 168 WG has a unique role in delivering vital air refueling support in the Pacific and Arctic regions and plays a crucial part in every Red Flag at Eielson Air Force Base, ensuring the high operational tempo and teamwork exercise are refueled.
