Former National Full-Scale Aerodynamics Complex staff gather June 26, 2024, to mark the 80th anniversary of the NFAC 40- by 80-foot wind tunnel. The first operation of the 40x80 tunnel occurred in June 1944. This test section, along with the 80- by 120-foot wind tunnel in the same facility, collectively form the NFAC at the NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California. NFAC is managed by Arnold Engineering Development Complex, headquartered at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. (Photo by Brandon Torres Navarrete)
