FINEGAYAN, Guam (Dec. 20, 2024) - Safety staff with the Office in Charge of Construction (OICC) Marine Corps Marianas check a contractor-owned basketball court during an inspection of facilities for H-2B workers. Staff inspected the court to ensure it was playable and properly maintained.
The H-2B visa program allows U.S. employers or U.S. agents who meet specific regulatory requirements to bring foreign nationals to the United States to fill temporary nonagricultural jobs. The contractor owned and operated facilities support hundreds of H-2B visa workers who conduct construction on Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz.
Facility inspections occur at least twice a year. In the aftermath of Typhoon Mawar in 2023, the OICC conducted six inspections to ensure this contractor's facilities were adequately repaired after typhoon damages
