Philippine Navy Seabees and U.S Marine combat engineers move scaffolding into position to install concrete forms during an engineering civic assistance project Sept. 24 at Taysan Elementary School, Legazpi, Republic of the Philippines. The Navy personnel and the Marines will work together to renovate a classroom building at the school, during Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. Humanitarian and civic assistance projects during PHIBLEX 14 offer unique opportunities to build interoperability with our partner nations, while at the same time building capacity and sustainability for the future. The Marines are with Construction Platoon, Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The Seabees are with Naval Forces Southern Luzon and the Naval Construction Brigade. (U.S. photo by Sgt. Brian A. Marion/Released)
