Lance Cpl. Richard A. Shannon trims a concrete mold to be used in reinforcing the foundation of a three-classroom building during an engineering civic assistance project Sept. 23 at Taysan Elementary School, Legazpi, Republic of the Philippines. The engineering project is one of many civic action projects occurring in Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014, a bilateral training exercise designed to improve the interoperability between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. Marine Corps.
