    379th Air Expeditionary Wing

    Airman 1st Class James Giesick, 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 340th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, lubricates the wheel spacer prior to installing the new brake set, Sept. 28, 2008. The spacer is cleaned of grease and grime then lubed after the tire and old brake set are taken off, prior to the installation of the new brake set, here at this undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The brake set had to be replaced when a crack in the heat shield was detected during a post flight inspection. Airman Giesick is a native of San Diego, Calif., and deployed from Grand Forks, N.D., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
