    379th Air Expeditionary Wing

    Airman 1st Class James Giesick, 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 340th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, removes the dust cover on a KC-135 wheel, Sept. 28, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The tire needs to be removed and the brake unit replaced after a crack in the heat shield was detected during a post-flight inspection. Airman Giesick, a native of San Diego, Calif., is deployed from Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D, supporting Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
