U.S. Army Reserve Maj. Scott Armen, a surgeon from Gainsville, Fla., and other members of the 629th Forward Surgical Team of Columbus, Ohio, prepare an injured Ugandan soldier for stitches. The soldier was hit in the head by a steel beam at a construction site, and the 629th provided immediate care so that he could be flown to a hospital in Kampala, 200 miles south.
