    Sgt. Gene Tucker (left) and Sgt. Chris Wickeser, a medic and civilian firefighter serving as the 629th's detachment sergeant, prepare to receive a patient with a serious head injury. A Ugandan soldier working on a construction site was struck with a steel beam. The 629th stabilized him, stitched up a facial laceration, and medevac'd him 200 miles south to a hospital in Kampala.
