160707-N-IN729-143 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 7, 2016) Sailors enter the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department tunnel to fight a fire during a general quarters drill aboard the Navy’s only forward deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). General quarters drills are held on a regular basis, typically once a week, and are designed to train Sailors in damage control techniques. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
