CAMP NAVAJO, Arizona (Aug. 15, 2016) – Two midshipman candidates mount sandbags on their shoulders after having their legs lashed together during the relay station of the joint New Student Orientation competition Aug. 15, 2016, at Camp Navajo, Arizona. Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps candidates were divided into six teams and rotated through six stations. The University of Arizona NRTOC unit’s weeklong NSO training took place Aug. 12-19, with half combined in the Flagstaff area alongside freshman candidates from the University of New Mexico and Arizona State University NROTC units, and the second half at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
