CAMP NAVAJO, Arizona (Aug. 15, 2016) – Midshipman Candidate Scott Martin from The University of Arizona Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps unit and another candidate take their turn flipping a tire around a baseball diamond to earn points at the tire station of the joint New Student Orientation competition Aug. 15, 2016, at Camp Navajo, Arizona. Candidates were divided into six teams and rotated through six stations to earn points. The University of Arizona NRTOC unit’s weeklong NSO training took place Aug. 12-19, with half combined in the Flagstaff area alongside freshman candidates from the University of New Mexico and Arizona State University NROTC units, and the second half at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
