A Kubasaki High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadet models the United States Marine Corps Marine Patter uniform worn by the Marines who fought in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom during a Marine Corps birthday uniform pageant Nov. 8 aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Holding true to their reputation as the one of the fiercest fighting forces in the world, the Marines led an assault that combined a level of lethality, speed and precision never before witnessed. Marines such as Sgt. Dakota Meyer, stayed true to the tradition of the Marine Corps and consistently put themselves in harm’s way in order to preserve worldwide freedom.
