    Secretary of the Navy Ray Maybus awards Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point a certificate of achievement for its Blue level of achievement in the Fiscal Year 2016 SecNav Energy and Water Management Awards, for a well-rounded energy or water program to U.S. Marine Corps Col. Todd W. Ferry, the Commanding Ofiicer of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point during a ceremony at MCAS Cherry Point, N.C., Nov. 9, 2016. During the ceremony, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus announced that the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, DDG 121, will be named the USS Frank E. Petersen Jr., in honor of the Marine Corps lieutenant general who was the first African-American Marine Corps aviator and the first African-American Marine Corps general officer.
