A Kubasaki High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadet models the uniform worn by the female Marines who fought in the World War II during a Marine Corps birthday uniform pageant Nov. 8 aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. In 1918, Pvt. Opha May Johnson became the first woman to enlist in the Marine Corps.
