171005-N-AC254-147 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Oct. 5, 2017) Fire Controlman 2nd Class Beatriz Gil, from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Fire Controlman 3rd Class Adriana White, from Suffolk, Virginia, both assigned to the America-class amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), raise the American flag as the ship arrives in Eilat, Israel, for a scheduled port visit Oct. 5, 2017. America is the flagship for the America Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is in Israel to enhance U.S.-Israel relations as the two nations work together for a stable, secure and prosperous region.
