170924-N-UK248-243 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Sept. 24, 2017) Flight deck personnel assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) observe as a SA-330J Puma helicopter, assigned to the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11), delivers cargo onto the flight deck during a vertical replenishment (VERTREP). Pearl Harbor is part of the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
