170928-N-UK248-007 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Sept. 28, 2017) Seaman Shanpree Mizzell, a native of Norfolk, Virginia, assigned to the deck department aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), sands down a stanchion on the ship’s port side quarterdeck. Pearl Harbor is part of the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
