JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 8, 2019) – Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Michael Paddock, a tactical combat casualty care instructor at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, educates a sailor during a simulated patient assessment. Paddock, a native of Galt, California, says “I enjoy every facet of instilling the knowledge and skills needed to treat any casualty. You never know when you’ll be called upon to act and treat your shipmate, Marine, and friend. It’s up to us, as first responders, to perform under pressure and treat potentially fatal injuries on land and at sea.” (U.S. Navy photo by Jacob Sippel, Naval Hospital Jacksonville/Released).
