190809-N-PP451-1001 FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (Aug. 09, 2019) Steelworker Constructionman Marshall Lyabarger, from Piedmont, Oklahoma, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, adds Quick Gel to the 500 gallon holding tanks full of water to create the drill fluid required for mud rotary drilling operations. Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 participated in 24-hour drilling operations to develop a functional water well. The water well training was completed in preparation for Major Combat Operations response or Humanitarian Aid/Disaster Relief.
