190815-N-PP451-1003 FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (Aug. 15, 2019) Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 "trip out" steel. The tripping out process is when the drill pipe is hoisted from the borehole during water well training. Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 participated in 24-hour drilling operations to develop a functional water well. The water well training was completed in preparation for Major Combat Operations response or Humanitarian Aid/Disaster Relief.
