(Aug. 13, 2019) Equipment Operator 2nd Class Samuel Ryan, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, collects and catalogues cutting samples taken during drilling operations. The samples are taken every five feet, and are crucial to the development phase of the well to determine casing and screen placement.
