Travis Debusk of Dallas, Ore., a combat engineer with the 204th Engineer Company, pulls the safety pin from the locking mechanism and looks on as the interior pontoon of a medium raft bridge falls into the Columbia River here Aug. 16 during a watermanship course as part of Kootenay Castor 2012. Kootenay Castor is a two weeklong combined training exercise between Washington Army National Guard and Canadian army combat engineers to enhance the soldier's skills and tactics.
