211119-N-EV253-1037 SAN DIEGO (Nov. 18, 2021) – Naval Medical Center San Diego’s command color guard parades the colors during a chief petty officer (CPO) pinning ceremony hosted by the “Merlins” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3 aboard Naval Air Station North Island. During the ceremony, 28 selectees assigned to tenant squadrons responsible to Commander, Helicopter Sea Combat Wing, Pacific, were promoted to the rank of CPO, and represented their respective squadrons, including the “Merlins” of HSC-3, the “Black Knights” of HSC-4, the “Indians” of HSC-6, the “Eightballers” of HSC-8, “Golden Falcons” of HSC-12, “Chargers” of HSC-14, “Blackjacks” of HSC-21, “Wildcards” of HSC-23 and “Firehawks” of HSC-85.
