211119-N-EV253-1204 SAN DIEGO (Nov. 18, 2021) – Chief Aviation Structural Mechanic Christopher Wolfe, from Madison Ohio, and assigned to the “Blackjacks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21, has his Chief Petty Officer (CPO) cover donned by his mentor during a CPO pinning ceremony hosted by the "Merlins" of HSC-3 aboard Naval Air Station North Island. During the ceremony, 28 selectees assigned to tenant squadrons responsible to Commander, Helicopter Sea Combat Wing, Pacific, were promoted to the rank of CPO, and represented their respective squadrons, including the “Merlins” of HSC-3, the “Black Knights” of HSC-4, the “Indians” of HSC-6, the “Eightballers” of HSC-8, “Golden Falcons” of HSC-12, “Chargers” of HSC-14, “Blackjacks” of HSC-21, “Wildcards” of HSC-23 and “Firehawks” of HSC-85.
