THULE AIR BASE, Greenland – The cargo ship, Ocean Gladiator, casts off from the port at Thule Air Base, Greenland, after successfully delivering cargo as part of the annual resupply mission, Operation Pacer Goose, Aug. 8, 2022. Since 1952, Pacer Goose has delivered vital supplies and equipment to the base every summer. Located 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle, Thule AB is home to the northernmost deep-water port in the world, and depends on supplies delivered during the operation to survive the long, harsh winter season.
