One of the few agricultural analysis and research facilities in Central America is FHIA (Fundacion Hondurena de Investiagacion Agricola) formerly United Brands research labs. FHIA serves all of Central America with soil analyses and a quick growth/reproduction program that promotes disease-resistant strains of endangered plants. AID supports 90% of its operations.
